Powers: Enhanced Abilities: The Glob has super human strength, agility and endurance.
Origins Joe Timms was once a petty villain criminal who loved his wife. After being arrested and jailed, he learned that she was dying. Desperate to be reunited with her, he sought early release. When this was denied, he escaped. Joe fled into the Florida Everglades to elude his pursuers. Lost and alone, he stumbled into a treacherous bog and was sucked under. A few decades later, the Hulk accidentally dumped radioactive waste into the Everglades. The toxic chemicals mixed with the ageless swamp and the restless ghost of Joe Timms to form a marsh like monster called the Glob.
History: (Incredible Hulk II#121 (fb)) - Timms was a convict serving time in prison until he received a letter from the love of his life telling of how she was dying. He escaped from prison to see her, but drowned in the swamp. His body lay there for years.
(Incredible Hulk II#121) - The Hulk passed by the swamp in which Timms had drowned and threw a barrel of radioactive waste into it. The radioactive waste merged Timms with the swamp, creating a powerful behemoth: The Glob.
The Glob wandered to a military base on which dwelled Betty Ross. Confused, the Glob mistook Betty for his lost love and kidnapped her. Luckily for Betty, the Hulk came upon them and fought the Glob only to discover that his fists couldn’t hurt the Glob. As Glob took Betty into the radioactive swamp that created him, the water dissolved him into nothingness. Not so lucky now are ya Betty?
