beliasIn the game Final Fantasy:
Scion of darkness and guardian of the Holy Realm, made by the gods in opposition to the Transcendent Loghrif, scion of light. Called the Gigas for his appearance: man and monster fused as one. Considered a mistake upon his making, and receiving not his intended role, the Gogas challenged the gods and lost. Scorned by his masters, he found another: the Dynast-King, whose tomb he swore to protect for eternity.

Belias is discovered within the normal storyline. The first Esper discovered in the game, he's weaker than most. He's still very useful when facing enemies with a weakness to fire magick and comes in handy when challenging the first few hunt marks.

In Jewish History:
Envoy from Morocco in 1608. He delivered to Maurice of Nassau, governor-general of the Netherlands, credentials from Muley Zaidan, sherif of Morocco, testifying Belias to be "ministrum Regiæ nostræ sublimis, qui negotiis ejus diligenter incumbit, resque ejus curat." It was possibly a descendant of his, G. Belias, who published at Constantinople, in 1855, a Spanish-Hebrew dictionary under the title  ("Diccionario de la Lengua Santa con la Declaracion en Lengua Sephardi").
